ANNIVERSARIES

Hi there

Two anniversaries are celebrated in our family this week.

My parents celebrated their 45th Wedding anniversary a couple of days ago. We love them both dearly and made this card to give to them from all of us. No copic coloring! eeeek!

And yesterday hubby and i celebrated our 19th Wedding Anniversary with a lovely lunch at a fancy restaurant while the kidlets were all at school.

I don't normally show personal stuff on my blog but we are so proud of our 4 girlies and our happy (most of the time) little family that i just had to share. A photo with all 6 of us together is a rare thing indeed so here it is, taken last week........

TGF SUMMER FUN

Who's READY for some SUMMER FUN?!?

I am!  I am!  We heard ya over at The Greeting Farm, too, because Oliver and Amelia are already on the task at hand to bring YOU some SUMMER FUN!

Introducing....Oliver/Amelia SUMMER FUN!

I LOVE this set because right here, right now, where i live in Australia, it is well and truly Winter with a maximum daily temperature of about 8 degrees celsius! So the cute little Oliver and Amelia Summer Fun remind me of my last Summer just gone. Lazy days on the beach with the kidlets, snorkelling, jetskiing, building castles, in my bikini just like Amelia! ( LOL, just kidding about the bikini!). But seriously, how cute are they?

With that in mind, I created a fun card using SUMMER FUN AMELIA, and one of the accompanying sentiments, HAPPY VACATION.

IMG_amelia happy vacation DT

I kept my card fairly simple, with some Copic coloring and simple little embellishments. Didn't want to take away from the cuteness of Amelia!

SUMMER FUN will be released this FRIDAY, JULY 1st, during our "BLUSHIN' into SUMMERTIME" DT BLOG HOP/RELEASE PARTY, beginning at 12:01 am, CST...but you can WIN this adorable set today by 'swimmin'  over to the TGF Blog to read how!

We sure do hope you'll splash on over to party with us this Friday, but for now, I'll be back on Thursday with ONE more preview- can you BELIEVE how HOT, HOT, HOT these releases are for the month of July?!?  I can't wait to show you one more stamp tomorrow!  See you then!

SECOND TIME LUCKY

Sorry i haven't been around for a while. We have been trying to make my blog more visually pleasing, but unfortunately with no luck. ( Edited to add.....IT WORKED!!! Do you like my new blog?) I have been working on LOTS of new things that are not quite ready to share yet, but any day now will be ready to show! How's that for a bit of suspense?

So, today's card i made several weeks ago, and the longer i looked at it, the more certain i became that it had to change. There was just something about it that wasn't quite right, maybe i think the cute little garden girl was just a little big for the card. So, this afternoon i had a play, and i am finally happy. I'll even show you the before and after shots.

BEFORE.....

and AFTER.......

So, what do you think? Do you like the before or after better?

FAREWELL GIFT

Hi there. Quick post again today, as we're just about to farewell our lovely Thai exchange student this evening. She loves to read so i made her a personalized book mark using TGF CC Abbey.

I haven't used her before and i love the way she turned out. Unfortunately it is overcast and raining here, so she hasn't photographed at all well. I'm sure you get the idea anyway. We wrote a nice little message on the back too so she'll hopefully remember her time in Australia with us in years to come.

Off to the airport now. Looking forward to a semi-relaxing weekend(with some coloring of course).

STAMPING BELLA

Hi there,

I saw this little stamping bella stamp on a you tube video about coloring with prismacolor pencils and, well, i just had to have her.

So here she is, colored with Copics.

IMG_1260a

I thought the built in little hashed lines that are already on the stamp would help with the shading, but that wasn't the case. I was still happy with the end result though. I finally found some hand-died seam binding ribbon on ebay and bought some of every color i think. The brown wasn't quite the right shade so i added a little more color with my copics, very handy indeed.

The card is for a friend to thank her for her kindness, but i haven't given it yet, so hopefully she doesn't read my blog.

Unfortunately no coloring will be done this weekend as we are taking all the Thai exchange students for a holiday at the beach. Wish me luck....there are 23 of us altogether!

Thanks for popping by,

MY NEW BANNER

No photo today, as i'm finally finished my new banner! Look up and you will see it at the top of the page, LOL!

I've had the idea in my head for a few weeks now, and played a little over the weekend, but finally finished it off today. What do you think? I'd still like to play with the design of my blog background, etc, but atleast for now i have a cool blog banner, with all my favorite things on it!

A big thank you to DH who actually got it from the computer onto my blog. I have no idea.

Thanks for dropping by. Hope you like my new blog banner,

I'M STILL HERE!

Sorry it's been a while. Life is pretty hectic around here at the moment, with an extra child for 3 weeks! Our Thai exchange student is just lovely and seems to be fitting into our crazy household quite well. My DH even looked after all FIVE girls for the weekend while i went on a scrapbooking retreat with the lovely Ebony. I didn't get an awful lot done, but it was lovely to relax and scrap the weekend away.

This card is my favorite one from the weekend. Its a GREETING FARM girl that i use quite often. The papers are all My Minds Eye, Stella Rose, and i have colored her with copics.

This will be a short post today as i'm off to teach a copic class at The Imagination Factory tonight. Hopefully i'll be back with more to share from my crafty weekend tomorrow.

Thanks for looking,
