CREEPER LULA IS HERE

It's so exciting, preview week, where I get to surprise you every day with The Greeting Farm yumminess! Today I'd like to introduce to you..... CREEPER LULA! Man, she is a cool chick....

IMG_creeperlulu wm

When I first laid eyes on her I thought she would scare me if I passed her in the street but now that she's all colored up in cute, girly colors I think she looks almost sweet. I tried a technique that I have used a few times on her hair to give it just that little tinge of color and i'm pretty pleased with the result.

Little Miss Lula will be available for purchase in TGF store on the 1st of September along with 2 other singles and the new miss Anya ??? set. And don't forget our brand new clear stamps (bantastic and Fairy princess) are ready and waiting.

Be sure to head over to the TGF BLOG and find out how YOU can win CREEPER LULA  today...I hear she's playing hide-and-seek on one of our blogs today and you JUST might be the lucky winner!  Last but not least, be sure to read about the "FARM FASIONISTA" contest going on NOW on the TGF Blog...there's still a few days to enter!

And before I forget, I followed Jen's deconstructed sketch no 16 today. Here's the sketch...

I think you still have a day left to join in.

See you again tomorrow on the farm,

Tracey.

INTRODUCING LOGAN & A TPE CHALLENGE

This cool dude, WS LOGAN sees in day 2 of the spectacular September release at The Greeting Farm.

IMG_WSLOGAN wm

How absolutely COOL is he? He will be released on Thursday September 1st, along with our new Anya set and two other new singles yet to be previewed. How's that for a bumper release? And hot on the heels of our fabulous clear release last month, which is available in store now. ( Bantastic and My Fairy Princess)

Did I say I thought Logan was cool? I don't usually enjoy making boy cards, but this one was way-cool to make. I distressed all the paper edges and added rich cocoa memento for the grungy look. Some die-cut tickets and an older TGF sentiment stamp and we're done. Mr Cool Logan.

THE PINK ELEPHANT

Today The Greeting Farm is proudly sponsoring a challenge over at  THE PINK ELEPHANT Blog. The TPE114 challenge is to do some paper piecing. I chose Birthday Ian from TGF's August release, and paper-pieced his jeans and the little banner he is holding. I also added real string to the banner ,that I had colored black with copics, but it's a little difficult to see in the pic as the cuttlebug squished it flat! That'll teach me to trim my images AFTER I've finished them. LOL!

IMG_birthdayianTPE WM

So, i hope you like my two cards today.

Be sure to head over to the TGF BLOG as there is a Wild Sprout Logan up for grabs today, and in case you missed Friday's BIG announcement, click  HERE to find out how YOU could become our "Farm Fashionista" of 2011!

See you tomorrow for our next exciting TGF preview.

A TGF CHALLENGE

I thought I'd play along with this weeks WHICH ONE WEDNESDAY challenge over on the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog. This weeks challenge is to use BOY COLORS. So I thought I would make a girls card (of course) using boys colors.

IMG_amelia ahoy WM

I used Amelia "AHOY" that i have had for a while, but hadn't inked up yet, and then of course, I couldn't neglect little Oliver so I inked him up too and made a matching his and hers cards.

IMG_oliver ahoy WM

I added a little clear spica to the whita areas of both of their clothes. It's a bit hard to see in the photos. I think I like the girly one better. What do you think? Thanks for stopping by. And don't forget to take up the WOW color challenge.

And don't forget to pop back tomorrow for our next September Greeting Farm preview.

Thanks for stopping by,

Tracey.

IT'S A LOVE STORY

Hello from the snow, again. Yes, we're still here. Heading home tomorrow.

I have been coloring like crazy all week, and i just wanted to share with you my very first TIDDLY INKS image/card.

IMG_2272

Sorry about the photo quality. I am missing my photoshop terribly.

I made it for my eldest DD who is still away on King Island. She has her first boyfriend and also loves to read, and has red, curly hair, so i thought it was all very appropriate for her.

I colored the seam binding ribbon and the flower to match, with copics and spicas, as i also did with the purple matt. It started off as just a piece of white blending card.

Thanks for looking.

Tracey.

MORE FAIRIES

Hello from the snow. Here i am at Falls Creek, doing lots of coloring while the rest of the fam has fun on the slopes. No more skiing for me since my knee reconstruction 2 years ago, so what better way to pass the time than coloring.

I didn't bring many supplies with me, but i managed to make this card  completely out of what i did have....

IMG_2127

I had packed a few white embellishments, just in case, so i colored my lace and flowers with copics to match. No sewing machine either, so i used my copic multiliner to draw in some stitching. Certainly makes me quicker with less products to choose from.

Thanks for stopping by,

Tracey.

BANTASTIC

I have another card to show you today using the new CLEAR stamps from THE GREETING FARM.

IMG_bantastic helloWM

I have done some paper piecing using the BANTASTIC set. Add some Basic Grey alphas and your sentiment is done. Quick and easy. No copics on this card, which is rather unusual for me.

Thanks for stopping by,

Tracey.

I can see CLEARLY now at TGF

It's gonna be a BRIGHT and SUNSHINY day for sure at The Greeting Farm!  Hooray!

Today is the day- two new sets are available for purchase as we are proud to debut our new line of CLEAR stamps!

  Bantastic

Fairyprincess

Here is my project using the MY FAIRY PRINCESS set......

IMG_sprinkle a little twinkleWM

I think i am in love with these little fairies. They are so tiny and CUTE and really quick to color. I have made a cute little background for them to "sprinkle their twinkle" on! It's a bit hard to see, but there are little dots of kindy glitz that they are throwing in the sky. They are too cute!

We are SO excited to begin today's hop combining some TGF 'alum' with our Farmers!   Be sure to check out the TGF BLOG for a complete list of links, as one lucky winner will receive BOTH sets just for commenting and participating in the hop!  And just in case you get lost along the way in all of the excitement that is CLEARLY mounting...here is the list:

and our Farmers!

That's it for me today, but be sure to head over to the TGF BLOG, where it's ALL beginning!  HAPPY RELEASE DAY, everyone!

I'll be back soon with more "clear" projects.

ANOTHER DECONSTRUCTED SKETCH

I really am loving Jen's sketches. They seriously cut so much time off my card making. I am such a procrastinator, and am also fondly known as the embellishment queen, so following Jen's sketches is great to get me moving.

Here's this week's sketch....

Sketch14

.........and here's my card.

IMG_DCSC14wm

I colored up this little Heather Ellis girl at a retreat i went on recently, but was struggling to come up with a card design. Struggle no more..... the fabulous Jen saves the day.

You can play along here

Hope you like my card. Back later today for THE GREETING FARM clear release BLOG HOP. Can't wait!

See you then,

Tracey.

PREVIEW DAY

Hey, everyone!

I am back to fully reveal what may have been just a cloudy snippet yesterday... did you see through our little surprise or are you CLEARLY stumped?

Well, wonder no more because some of the cherished members of the TGF alum along with the Farmers are thrilled to bring you a BRAND NEW line by TGF:

CLEAR STAMPS!!!!

Before we go any further, these stamps are not replacing our rubber line.  We are testing the waters to bring you some fun new designs, and most of all QUALITY stamps!  To add to the fun, we also have the opportunity to bring you some RE-RELEASES, in addition to NEW releases and we are excited to get started with our first two sets!

INTRODUCING.....

BANTASTIC and MY FAIRY PRINCESS

Bantastic Fairyprincess

For today's project i have inked up BANTASTIC, and made a cute little BABY welcome card.

IMG_bannerific baby TGFDT copyWM

The pink parts are kind of a salmony color in real life, so i thought it would suit either a baby girl OR boy. I paper-pieced the banner in co-ordinating papers and also stamped the little congrats sentiment that comes with the set.

So, what do you think?  Are you CLEARLY stunned or could you see RIGHT THROUGH our snippet yesterday?   Anxious to try the new line?  Well, be sure to leave a comment on the TGF BLOG to see who ELSE is previewing the FUN today...you'll see some familiar faces in addition to our Farmers and there's a SET OR TWO UP FOR GRABS there, too!

See you tomorrow for the official release of our first two CLEAR stamp sets, Bantastic and Fairy Princess.  Thanks for stopping by!

Tracey. XO.

IMG_bannerific baby TGFDT copysnippet

Can you guess what it is?   I'm thrilled to be a part of an exciting preview to be revealed TOMORROW, August 14th!

Some of our dearest TGF alum is back along with the Farmers and we have a surprise for you coming... so be sure to tune into the TGF BLOG today and leave your guess as to what that might be!   Are we too transparent?  ANY idea as to what this special, mid-month release could be?  Well, stay tuned and I'll see you back here tomorrow to see if you're still stumped or if you've seen RIGHT THROUGH to what we're about to reveal!

Clearly excited,

Tracey. XO.

RIBBON CAROUSEL CHALLENGE

Hi everyone.

Just wanted to let you know that THE GREETING FARM is sponsoring this weeks challenge at THE RIBBON CAROUSEL .

Here's the rundown on the deets......

OK- so here's the deal!  I want you to get in touch with your “edgier side”. So rip your paper, distress your edges, use an edgy character or image….just do something “edgy”.

For one lucky participant in this week's challenge The Greeting Farm is giving away a 4x6 stamp set of YOUR CHOICE!! So get your edgy on! Your creation can be anything from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings, anything will work!

*** Please remember that your creation must have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace (basically anything that comes on a spool). ***

So, being a TGF DT member, i decided to play along just for fun, and this is what i made......

IMG_2017princesscollection3wm

I inked up Anya from Princess Collection no3, and thought that this adhesive backed floral fabric would make a nice dress, so i inked it up too. My edginess is both the double scalloped edge and it's hard to see in the pic, but i've inked the edge of the white card in gold to match the royal princess theme. My ribbon is the bow on the bunch of flowers, which i have colored with copics to match the grass, which i airbrushed lightly. I hope you like her.

Why don't you join in the challenge at The Ribbon Carousel here

Before i go, i just need to let you know that there's something exciting happening at The greeting Farm over the next few days.......more hints tomorrow!

See you then,

Tracey.

DECONSTRUCTED SKETCH # 13

I thought i'd play along with Jen's deconstructed sketch  this week. It's amazing how much more quickly my cards come together when i have to follow a sketch. So here's the sketch.......

The Deconstructed Sketch 13

........ and here's my card. I stayed true to the sketch this time and didn't really change anything around at all.

IMG_DCS13wm

I used a cute little CC designs image, and a MME paper pad. I hope you like my card.

Thanks for stopping by.

INTRODUCING AMELIA SURPRISE

I know you have already met Amelia on the other farmers blogs, and at The Greeting Farm, but this is the first time i have inked her up, and i LOVE her. She is so absolutely adorable, with her pretty little dress and little pile of gifts. So here she is.....

IMG_amelia birthday surprise wmDT copy
....i told you she's super-cute, didn't i. I have colored her with copics, as usual, and teamed her with some cute doodlebug paper, and a prima felt flower. Perfect for a special little girl's birthday, (or maybe even a young at heart adult).

I think i might have to teach this card as a class at The Imagination factory. What do you think?

Oh, and i didn't realise until now, i've actually used exactly the same layout as the card on my previous post. Totally unintentional, just a coincidence really.

That's all for today. Off to look after DD#4 who is home from school with a sore leg!

Tracey. XO.

MORE FARM CELEBRATIONS

As a special gift to all the Greeting Farm followers, to celebrate our big 3rd birthday/anniversary, we are giving away a free digi stamp with ANY purchase at TGF store until this FRI at 10pm CST(US time).

His name is CHIBI FARMHAND and he is cute as can be, and here he is....

IMG_chibifarmhandTGFDT copywm

Don't you agree. I think i've finally got over my boy card phobia. I am actually quite happy with how this one turned out. I also played along with the Mystery Monday challenge over on the Farm Fresh Challenge blog. The link in my sidebar will take you right there.

Seeing as we're on the subject of farms today, i thought i'd share some animal-themed ATC's from the July swap at The Imagination Factory. My 13 year old daughter Harriet and i are in the same group, and we decided to do matching cards for the first time this month. So, here they are....

IMG_animalATCs

Cute, aren't they. Harriet's is the pig, mine the sheep. I was so proud of the effort she put in this month.

So that's all for now. Off to create.
