THINK PINK

I haven't entered a challenge in a long while, but seeing as this one is for such a good cause, i decided to make a pink card with only a few hours to spare before the challenge closes.

Copic oz is donating $10 to the McGrath foundation for every entry received.

I used this super sweet butterfly baby image from Saturated Canary, colored her with my copics and paired her with papers from Echo Park and Bella Blvd.

You can see all the fabulous pink entries HERE

Good luck everyone.

DECONSTRUCTED SKETCH 75

Hi there and happy Thursday to you all.
It's Deconstructed sketch reveal time again, and I'm sure you're going to love this week's sketch by the fabulous Jen, just as much as I loved it.

So, here's Jen's sketch, very versatile in my opinion.

And here's my creation. I rotated the sketch 90 degrees but otherwise pretty much followed it to the letter.

I really love Krista's Saturated Canary digital images, and it's the first time I have colored this one up. I think her name just might be Ava.

I hope you will check out all of my fellow DT blogs for inspiration.

Be sure to join in and link up your creation on JEN'S BLOG too.

Have a great rest of the week and I can't wait to see your interpretation of Jen's sketch.

Bye for now,

Tracey.

ANYA CELEBRATES

Today I have a card to show, just for fun! It's not one of my favorites by any stretch of the imagination, as my mojo seems to have gone on vacation!

My scraft table is one big mess so I just grabbed the October Afternoon scraps that were lying around. I paper-pieced Anya's present, and fussy cut some flowers from co-ordinating patterned paper.

One thing I like about these Anyas from The Greeting Farm is that although they are really large stamps, she is actually quite thin, hence quick to colour!

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back later today with my Deconstructed sketch post.

See you then,

Tracey.

DS74

Hi there and happy Thursday all. It's Deconstructed sketch time again, and this sketch was another favourite.

I must say I've been in a little bit of a rut lately using the same old stamps, and been in need of some new ones. So i was delighted when my MFT package arrived this morning.

I used Jen's fabulous sketch.......

And my new MFT goodies........

along with some October Afternoon papers, copic markers and cryogen white cardstock.

Make sure you check out the DT girls blogs for inspiration

...and then head on over to JEN'S BLOG to link up your creation.

Thanks for stopping by,

Tracey.

WELCOME BABY JORDAN (DS73)

Hi there all and happy Thursday.

I've got this weeks deconstructed sketch ready for you, but before I do the reveal I have some very special news to share. Two days ago my husband and I were blessed to become grandparents for the first time. Yes, it is quite a few years earlier than we expected but i hope we will be a super cool Nanny and Pa, given our extreme youth. (LOL)

Our gorgeous daughter Annabel and her equally gorgeous partner Will, with their newborn son, Jordan Reid Sim.

We are so incredibly proud of them all.

So, to celebrate, I used this weeks deconstructed sketch to make the happy new family a welcome baby card.

Sheri designed this weeks sketch, which was so easy to work with.....

And here is my super-quick card using Sheri's sketch. As I was somewhat short of time this week, I decided to use this cute monkey chipboard piece from bella blvd instead of my usual copic colouring, and I was happy with the result in the end.

Make sure you check out all the DT blogs for inspiration.

We'd love to see your take on this weeks sketch too. You can upload your creations on Jen's blog HERE

Thank you for making it to the end of my extra long post. Have a lovely week. I know I sure will.

Bye for now,

Tracey.

DS72 and a "new" stamp company

Hi there and happy Thursday to all. I know I always say this but seriously, where has this last week gone? Hang on, I know, it's school holidays still here. Time really does fly when you're having fun.

We have a fabulous sketch this week. I really like larger rectangles as I get to make a scene, one of my favorite things to do. Here's Jen's sketch.....

...and here's my card.

As you can see, I've rotated the sketch 90 degrees, and then mirror imaged it left to right.

I've discovered a new rubber stamp company called 100proofpress. They're based in the US and I've fallen in love with some of their images, like this little girl with her teddy bear.

Her dress lent itself to be paper pieced I thought, and the rest was colored with copics. Most of the papers are from a recent Echo Park paper pad.

I've been playing around with the Tim Holtz distress markers this week. Fingers crossed that I've mastered them enough by next week to use on my DT card.

I hope you have time to check out all my fellow DT gals for inspiration. Their blogs can be found here....

Why not join in the fun and link up your creation to Jen's Deconstructed Sketch blog HERE

Enjoy the rest of your week and weekend.

Tracey.
